Every Bond Villain Lair Ever Throughout the 007 film franchise, it has become a cliché that Bond villains talk too much, choose execution methods that are far too complex, and invest far too much money in home décor. Still, the spectacle of hideouts on private islands and the moon can be impressive. In The Spy Who Loved Me, the villains submersible lair is unforgettable. Paintings rise and reveal windows to an underwater world with sharks and giant fish. Since underwater construction can be prohibitively expensive (and complicated in respect to zoning laws), many homeowners may be tempted to recreate the effect with large aquariums. Sure, a giant aquarium isnt as expensive as a moon colony, but it can certainly come close. Dont forget to calculate maintenance costs, cleaning, and occasional fish replacements. Even if you have the maturity to resist getting a shark, its a fish eat fish world underwater.
Decorating ideas. You can choose to decorate according to the era of the home, using vintage paint colours, fabric patterns, furnishings and accessories. A great place to get vintage ideas is from magazines and photos of historical era homes. You may opt for a vintage look combined with a modern twist, particularly for the convenience of a modern kitchen and bathroom facilities. You can also use period furniture pieces, and dress them in modern fabrics and colour schemes. Another choice is to simply choose a favourite piece of furniture, or a favourite colour and build your decorating scheme from there. Remember that if you are decorating a large home with big rooms, your major furniture pieces need to be to scale within the size of the room, and then you can accessorise with smaller pieces within the remaining space. If you intend to use furnishings and décor from a previous home, you will need to see how they look and fit in the older house. If they are to scale and the style complements the older house, then add fresh paint and fabric to match your new colour scheme to draw everything together as a coordinated whole.
European furniture. This style of furniture can be roughly split in 3 main branches: Italian, English and French. We begin by the Italian, because it is becoming very popular over the last decade for US citizens. Why? because the Italian style offer a wide range of materials to choose from, from wood up to marble, stone or fabric. Furniture pieces into the Italian furniture are ornate as well as large, sometimes using Roman sculpture and architecture. We go then to the French style. If you like crowed decorating prices of furniture, French is definitely yours. It often includes designs, elaborated and perhaps handcrafted with detailed carvings, with highly ornate patterns.
Expense is another factor that you need to consider. Investing too much money on the upkeep of your home office will not be profitable at all. It is best to compare furniture from various sources before you decide to make a purchase.
